Initial Proposal:
A sustainable travel plan for BHRUT will identify a set of key actions aimed at widening and promoting greener, cleaner travel choices and cutting unnecessary car use.
This plan involves developing a set of targets that can help the Trust reduce the impact on travel and transport on the environment. A key element of this Plan is the Travel Survey, providing staff with the opportunity to have a say in plans for the Trust, promoting a more motivated and involved workforce. A Travel Survey has been developed to be launched in the coming weeks.
To assist in attracting as much participation as possible, voucher prizes have been identified to go in to a prize draw for participants in the survey

We have completed the Staff Travel Survey and in the process of publicising the results with our new Travel Plan. This was a good exercise to raise awareness, but we would like next time to do a wider survey in conjunction with the boroughs, community groups and other NHS organisations. We will be improving our commitment to sustainable travel for all who travel across our sites.
