Proposal:

The proposal from Recycle-a-Bike aims to increase the inclusivity of those with physical health impairments into our regular recreational cycle rides. Currently we have organised cycle rides taking place on Saturday mornings and demand for recreational rides during the week is increasing. One of our regular volunteers has Cerebral Palsy and we also have had enquiries from visually impaired students into opportunities for cycling which we have thus far been unable to provide. We will also be providing training on tandem use to ensure that the experience is safe as well as fun. If funds allow, Recycle-a-Bike also seeks to purchase a waterproof pannier rack and lights to fit to the tandem so that it is ready and safe to be ridden in all weather conditions. The pannier will be used to carry tools, emergency spare parts and first aid equipment which we will be furnishing it with so that any repairs can be carried out during the rides if necessary.

2011 - This project is on hold as has not yet managed to secure funding.
