Reducing Paper Use - Directorate Meetings

By: South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust

Reducing resource consumption and costs

135.14Kg (Actual)

Historically the Trust has used paper agendas at its weekly Directorate meetings, typically these meetings attract between 10 to 15 people and the agendas can use up to 10 pieces of A4 paper. By multiplying this amount of paper over a year, and by using the CO2 paper calculator (we have also developed) we have discovered that the CO2 created in the paper production is 135.1kg. To reduce this, the Technical Services and Logistics (TS&L) department has begun using a projector to display its agenda. By taking this measure the TS&L meetings are now largely paperless. We hope to roll out this practise at other Trust meetings in the near future.
