Sustainable Catering

By: Winchester & Eastleigh Healthcare NHS Trust

Two work streams are planned: procuring food from local sources and reducing food waste.

A new means of disposing of caterig waste will come on stream later this year following a successful pilot.  This will see waste collected into bags made of potato starch and then processed to produce a product for re-use.  More detail son the project available from Lee Kinrade at lee.kinrade@wehct.nhs.uk
