Proposal:

£150 for 4 hours Dr Bike at Epsom St Helier event in January 2010. Dr Bike has been extremely popular at similar events in the past.

Update on Dr Bike Session held at St Helier.

Unfortunately we only had three bikes checked during our Dr Bike session at St Helier Hospital.  We had arranged for the Dr Bike sessions as part of a Healthy Living event which, although well publicised within the trust, was very poorly attended.  Although we have a large number of staff who cycle to work it may well be that having the Dr Bike sessions so early in the year may have had an effect on the number of staff interested in having their bikes checked.

If we are able to run these sessions in future we will need to identify external funding, and we will definitely have pre-booked sessions rather than the open sessions that we have had previously. 

Our previous Dr Bike sessions have been held at the Sutton Hospital site and have been run in conjunction with the Royal Marsden Hospital, this has ensured a better turnout than just restricting the sessions to the Epsom & St Helier Trust.
