Improved staff moral. Scheme also allows staff to buy additional bikes for partners/children, as long as salary sacrifice does not lead to their salary becoming less than minimum wage.

The savings made are on the employer tax and national insurance contributions. I have spoken to Finance regarding this and they are unable to give me a figure as it has not been measured to date

NHS Bikes – They approached  us to offer to run the scheme for us. They had a good reputation in the sector and as they did most of the admin work and it was cost neutral to the PCT it was quite lucrative. The way the scheme was pitched installed a great deal of confidence in me and they have lived up to well beyond expectations! Prior to going with this company I contacted the network which is national and only ever heard very favourable feedback about them.
