Weekly Trust Bulletin Updates

By: South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust

Unquantifiable

Communicating with over 3,000 staff spread across an operational area of some 3,500 square miles covering Kent, Surrey, Sussex and North Hampshire is a real challenge. Amongst other methods of communication SECAmb publishes a weekly bulletin on the Intranet, and into staff email boxes in order to keep staff up-to-date on a wide range of topical issues. The weekly bulletin includes articles that give information, education and advice about environmental issues. Since the launch of the bulletin entries the articles have covered the science of climate change and its consequences, it has examined the entire NHS in relation to climate change, and some articles have looked at our contribution to climate change in a more local and personal way. The articles have engaged with staff as to why there is the need for change, it has given useful reference information, and it has provoked good feedback and ideas from staff.
