South East

The NHS in the South East has initiated the project ‘Mapping Greener Healthcare’ to map all sustainable activity and share best practice in the Region. Funded by the South East Public Health Group in partnership with the two Strategic Health Authorities, South East Coast and South Central, the information charts “green” activities completed, ongoing or planned in Trusts across the region. The website is presenting case studies from all areas of sustainable development: energy and carbon management, procurement, travel, water, waster, the built environment, finance and governance. It is also recording projects intended to improve health and clinical care with the co-benefit of carbon reduction.
